Help and guidance for the RGB UK mobile app.
Getting Started
System Requirements
- iOS: Requires iOS 15.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
- Android: Requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.
- Internet: An active internet connection is required to browse products and submit orders.
First-Time Setup
- Open the app and enter your RGB UK account email address and password.
- Once logged in, go to the Account tab and tap Select Printer.
- Choose your printer brand, then select your specific printer model.
- The Products tab will now show media compatible with your printer.
- Optionally, enable biometric login (Face ID / fingerprint) in Account settings for quicker access next time.
Tip: If your administrator has pre-assigned a printer to your account, it will already be selected and locked when you log in. You’ll see “Set by administrator” next to the printer name.
Account & Login
What login details do I use?
Use the same email address and password as your RGB UK website account at www.rgbuk.com. The app does not have a separate registration — your existing account credentials work directly.
I've forgotten my password
On the login screen, tap “Forgot Password?”. Enter your email address and you’ll receive a password reset link. You can also reset your password directly on the website.
I can't log in — App access not enabled
Your account needs to be enabled for app access by an RGB UK administrator. Please contact us at support@rgbuk.com and we’ll get you set up.
How do I enable biometric login?
After logging in, go to the Account tab and look for the biometric login option (Face ID, Touch ID, or Fingerprint depending on your device). Toggle it on. Next time you open the app, you’ll be able to log in with biometrics instead of typing your password.
How do I log out?
Go to the Account tab and scroll to the bottom. Tap Log Out. This will clear your session and stored credentials from the device.
Ordering
How do I place a re-order?
- Go to the Products tab and browse the available products.
- Tap a product to view details, then tap Add to Basket.
- Adjust quantities in the Basket tab if needed.
- When ready, tap Submit Order.
- You’ll receive a confirmation that your order has been submitted to the RGB UK team.
Why can I only see certain products?
Products are filtered based on your selected printer model and your account settings. This ensures you only see media that is compatible with your printer. If you believe products are missing, check that the correct printer is selected in your Account settings, or contact us.
How do I save favourites?
When viewing a product, tap the star icon to add it to your favourites. Access your saved favourites from the Favourites tab for quick re-ordering.
Can I view my order history?
Yes. Go to the Account tab and tap Order History to see your previous orders submitted through the app.
Is the app the same as placing an order on the website?
The app submits a re-order request to the RGB UK team. It is designed for convenience and speed when re-ordering products you already use. For new enquiries, quotes, or custom orders, please contact us directly or use the website.
Troubleshooting
The app won't load or keeps crashing
Try these steps in order:
- Close the app completely and reopen it.
- Check you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
- Ensure your device is running a supported OS version (iOS 15+ / Android 8+).
- Update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
Network error or Connection failed
This means the app cannot reach the RGB UK servers. Check the following:
- Your internet connection is working (try opening a website in your browser).
- You are not connected to a VPN or restricted network that may block the connection.
- Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if one works.
If neither works, the server may be temporarily undergoing maintenance. Please try again in a few minutes.
Products are not showing or the list is empty
- Make sure you have selected a printer in your Account settings.
- If your printer was assigned by an administrator, check with your admin that the correct printer is set.
- Try pulling down on the products screen to refresh the list.
- If the issue continues, log out and log back in to refresh your account data.
Biometric login isn't working
- Check that Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint is enabled in your device settings (not just the app).
- Go to the Account tab in the app and ensure biometric login is toggled on.
- If you recently changed your device passcode or biometrics, you may need to log in with your password once and re-enable biometrics.
I'm being asked to log in again unexpectedly
Your login session may have expired. This can happen if:
- You haven’t used the app for an extended period.
- Your password was changed on the website.
- Your account settings were updated by an administrator.
Simply log in again with your email and password. Enable biometric login to speed up future logins.
My order didn't submit / I got an error
If your order failed to submit:
- Check your internet connection and try again.
- Ensure your basket isn’t empty.
- Your items should still be in the basket — go back to the Basket tab and try submitting again.
- If the problem persists, take a screenshot of the error and email it to support@rgbuk.com.
Keeping the App Updated
We regularly release updates with new features and improvements. To ensure you’re running the latest version:
- iOS: Open the App Store, go to your profile, and check for updates.
- Android: Open Google Play, tap Menu > My apps, and check for updates.
We recommend enabling automatic updates so you always have the latest version.
